Celebrating ideas, impact, and women changemakers

She Innovates 2026, hosted by the Rajendra Mishra School of Engineering Entrepreneurship (RMSoEE), IIT Kharagpur, brought together a strong community of women innovators from across disciplines. Held on 5–6 March 2026, the event focused on turning ideas into actionable solutions across key social, technological, and sustainability themes.

The competition saw participation from 160+ teams, including students, faculty, and staff. Ideas were presented across four tracks:

• Social & Inclusive Innovation

• Sustainable & Green Solutions

• Smart Systems & Institutional Innovation

• Emerging Technologies & Entrepreneurship

Each track reflected real problems—healthcare access, digital systems, and deep-tech innovation—paired with practical, scalable solutions.

Teams pitched their ideas in structured sessions, with 15-minute presentations followed by 5-minute discussions. Mentors and evaluators engaged deeply with each team—questioning assumptions, testing feasibility, and offering direction on execution and scaling.

For each idea track, three awards were presented:

• Grand Changemaker Award

• Excellence in Innovation Award

• Social & Sustainable Impact Award

This ensured that both technical strength and real-world impact were recognized.

The award ceremony was held as part of IIT Kharagpur’s International Women’s Day celebration at Netaji Auditorium.

Awards were presented by Prof. Suman Chakraborty & Dr. Bhaskar Bhowmick. The ceremony marked not just the end of a competition, but a celebration of ideas led by women shaping real change.

From early-stage ideas to startup-ready concepts, the event created momentum—connecting participants with mentors, networks, and future opportunities.

She Innovates 2026 showed one clear thing: when given the right platform, women innovators don’t just participate—they lead, build, and create impact at scale.
