SUMMARY:Launch of RMSoEE Newsletter - Udyomita
DESCRIPTION:About WCEF2026 Programme \n \n WCEF2026 – Circular economy: Transition for people and prosperity The World Circular Economy Forum 2026 explores practical and scalable solutions\, while highlighting India’s leadership in advancing sustainable lifestyles and resource efficiency. Through its Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) initiative\, India is leading a global movement to promote individual and community action for protecting and preserving the environment. Building on these efforts and initiatives such as 3Rs (Reduce\, Reuse and Recycle) and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan\, WCEF2026 will connect Indian experiences with global expertise\, investment and partnerships to accelerate sustainable development\, resource efficiency and economic resilience worldwide. WCEF2026 will be hosted at the Mahatma Mandir convention centre in Gandhinagar\, India\, from 15 to 18 September 2026. Background and ContextThe transition from a linear “take–make–dispose” economic model towards a circular economy is essential for building sustainable and resilient economic systems. Circular economy models focus on reducing resource consumption\, minimising waste\, extending product lifecycles and creating value through reuse\, recycling and resource efficiency. While innovation in circular solutions is growing rapidly\, access to suitable finance remains a key barrier. Circular businesses often operate differently from traditional enterprises\, with evolving technologies\, new business models\, uncertain market adoption and longer pathways to scale. These characteristics can make them challenging to evaluate through conventional financing frameworks. The roundtable session at the World Circular Economy Forum 2026 will focus on identifying practical financing solutions that enable circular economy enterprises to grow and scale. It will bring together businesses\, financiers\, development institutions and ecosystem stakeholders to explore how capital can be better aligned with the needs of circularity. Objective of the SessionThe objective of the roundtable is to create a direct dialogue between circular economy enterprises and financial institutions to identify pathways for mobilising capital for circular solutions. The session will focus on: Understanding financing requirements and challenges faced by circular economy enterprises.Building awareness among financiers about circular business models\, risks and opportunities.Exploring innovative financial products designed specifically for circularity.Strengthening linkages among MSMEs\, entrepreneurs\, recyclers and capital providers.Creating an ecosystem approach where grants\, concessional finance\, impact capital and commercial finance work together.
